Gary is responsible for managing the daily operations, as well as working on business development, executive leadership, and short- and long-term business planning. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of the market and industry, he helps our team meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.
Expertise
Gary started working part time in the warehouse for Lyons Electric in 1990 while attending college. After exposure to the electrical construction and maintenance industry, he decided to attend the Local 134 apprenticeship program and became a journeyman electrician in 1995.
Gary climbed the ladder at Lyons Electric, from foreman to project manager to vice president. Eventually he was promoted to the position of vice president and general manager for Lyons and Pinner Electric Companies.
In 2008, Gary became a partner and worked alongside his partner and mentor, William Darnstadt. In his role, he was instrumental in the growth of new customer relationships, maintaining existing customers, and creating a positive culture with his team.
In 2021, EMCOR Group acquired Lyons and Pinner Electric, and Gary agreed to stay on and remain the president and CEO.
Currently, Gary is a trustee for both Local 134 and Local 9 apprenticeship programs and is a member of the NECA Chicago Executive Committee.

Gary has a wife and two children, and enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
